Blog Gremlins

I'm not sure why, but apparently my blog host is re-posting some old blog posts of mine. If you're an email subscriber, sorry for the extra emails. It should be resolved now.

On another note, ten minutes ago a Hugemungous moose trotted by my apartment, with police following closely behind. Gotta love Maine.

Quick update

It has been quite some time since my last post. Life can get complicated at times, work, procrastination, etc etc. I really do enjoy writing, but it is one of the many things I would like to do more of.

Some of you may have received an email yesterday about Plat du Jour, It was just a test. I am trying out various ways to write blog posts and upload photos while on the road. The last trip I took, I had a Wireless Palm Pilot, which I planned to use to write while traveling. It turned out to not be so convenient to use, hence the lack of posts.

So to make a long story short, I'm going to Italy! Starting in Tuscany, ending in Rome. I plan on using my iPad to share my experiences, a 'virtual trip' if you will. More details to come!

Yep, still here

Wow!

I haven't posted anything here in quite some time.  I actually have 3 posts I've been working on, which are not complete yet.  One is on Sous Vide cooking, another about my visit to the French Laundry, and another on some fabulous Beef Short Ribs that I marinated in a mixture of Moxie and Five Spice.

I was hoping to get the Sous Vide post completed during my "weekend" this week (Weds&Thurs), but the weather had other plans for me.  I did work on it a bit and hope to have it up within the next week.  Just a lot of editing to do, I tend to ramble quite a bit if you haven't noticed.

The Beginning

Well I finally did it.  Took the plunge into the wonderful world of blogging.  I've thought about it for a while, but honestly didn't think my life was intriguing enough to blog about (its not, really).  I have been known to have some unique adventures in the kitchen, which will be the focus of this blog.  What to expect?  Pictures, recipes, experiements, confections, you name it.
